Application for free sock designing The purpose of our application is to enable the designers (while anyone from little child to profesional artist can be the designer) to create freely patterns in very short time, and at the same time keep some basic standards, so the sock is always manufacturable. Material Dominantly combed cotton of high quality, mixed with other materials (elastan and polyamide) according to type of pattern. We are also planing special collections based on wool and bamboo fibres. Colours All colours used in our palette correspond with the palette of our manufacturer. Thus, every colour used in the design will correspond with the colour of fibres used in the manufacturing process. Our app always controls the number of colours in one row and in whole pattern, so each particular design is always manufacturable.

The final output is high-quality, thin sock made of combed-cotton with addition of elastane and/or polyamide. Softness, quality and pattern depends on the number of loops (needles) in one row. Our app is designed for 168 needles per row, while it also takes into account the fact, that one loop is not square, but rather rectangle, so our “pixels” are a bit deformed. This allows us to avoid the deformations in final pattern. The designer can draw the pattern by hand, the output is instantly displayed in the preview window. Rulers can be switched on and off.

If one likes and pattern, it can be saved, multiplied and reused. The patterns are saved in database and can be used later, in any other pattern. There is also database of basic patterns available – squares, lines, logos, Patterning is very easy, just basic parameters have to be set.
